Driving tips:

• In Barbados, we drive on the left side of the road, and the driver’s seat of almost all vehicles is located on the right. Some of our North American visitors are dissuaded by this, but there’s no need to be. You’ll find yourself adapting quickly.

• Bring your driver’s license with you. With that, you can get a visitor’s permit (just $5 USD or $10 BBD) and be on the road in no time. The permit is facilitated by the car rental company.

• Waze, Google Maps and other navigation systems are compatible with the roads in Barbados.
