Things To Do

Once you are done exploring the east coast, here is a list of other activities across the rest of Barbados. The island is not large, so all of these are less than an hour’s drive away from our rental villas. Go and explore everything Barbados has to offer, before escaping back to your east coast villa where the Atlantic breeze awaits you!

Swim With The Turtles

There are many cruises you can book which include a swim with local sea turtles, as well as some light snorkeling to see the beautiful coral reef and other marine life.

Visit Historic Bridgetown

Bridgetown is the capital of Barbados, located in the southwest parish of St. Michael. First settled in 1628, Bridgetown is full of historical charm.

Experience Sunset On The West Coast

There aren’t many places on earth with more beautiful sunsets than Barbados. Get comfortable on a west coast beach to enjoy the show!

Play A Round Of Golf (Or Several!)

The island is home to some stunning golf courses, including Royal Westmoreland, Sandy Lane and Apes Hill.

Enjoy The Local Nightlife

Looking to let your hair down? Check out St. Lawrence Gap or Harbour Lights on the south coast, or First & Second Streets in Holetown.

Visit Oistins For The Friday Night Fish Fry

Oistins is a fishing village on the south coast. On Friday nights, it transforms into a party, with drinks, music and some of the best fish you’ve ever tasted.

Discover The Island’s Rugged North

Visit North Point in the Parish of St. Lucy, where you’ll find the Animal Flower Cave, which features a wonderful restaurant for lunch, as well as stunning views of the rocky coast.

Watch A Cricket Match

Cricket is the national sport of Barbados. Visit historic Kensington Oval in Bridgetown for an international match, or settle in at any cricket field on a Saturday afternoon for a club match.

Walk On The South Coast Boardwalk

Take a stroll by the ocean along the Richard Haynes Boardwalk on the south coast. During the winter months, you can see the sunset from here as well.

Go On A Catamaran Cruise

Book a day cruise on a catamaran to take in the island from the water. Most cruises serve lunch and alcohol, play music and stop for swimming, snorkeling, etc.

Enjoy Fine Dining In A Romantic Setting

The island is home to many fine dining restaurants, set right on the coast for beautiful views. Some of our favourites are Champers, The Tides, Tapas, The Cliff and Primo.

Watch A Horserace At The Garrison

On the outskirts of Bridgetown, Saturday afternoons at the Garrison Savannah offer a festive atmosphere during racing season.

Visit Harrison’s Cave

For a change of scenery, head to Harrison’s Cave Eco-Adventure Park and enjoy the tram ride through the beautifully lit cave network.

Take A Surfing Class

Experienced surfers will want to check out Soup Bowl at Bathsheba, or Freights Bay. But there are classes available for all levels, with different sized waves around the island.

Experience The Crop Over Festival

If you’re lucky enough to be here in July or early August, join the party for the annual Crop Over festival. It culminates on the 1st Monday of August with the Grand Kadooment parade!
